Molly Harmon
When I first came to the DC I was a single mother to my son Caiden, who was 2 at the time. I was going to school and working a job, along with going through a custody battle. I have always had a good head on my shoulders, and I was finishing school and trying to keep everything afloat. I have since graduated from RISE and received two Bachelor’s degrees in fashion design and merchandising. I have overcome a huge custody battle and recently got married. I am most proud of becoming a better parent and utilizing the skills I have learned at the Dream Center. Through guidance and support from Dream Center staff, I have also learned how to heal from my own trauma responses. I have built my own community and resources with the classes. I have also learned to navigate the cliff effect through using my social capital and resources available. I am excited to continue to elevate and be connected to those who think outside the box to make my dream come true. One of my biggest goals is owning my vertical supply chain within the fashion industry and making a difference with my business. I want to have a workplace for parents and those reintegrating back into society. Farm to Fashion and Fashion Social Work.
